We stayed here last Halloween (2008) but forgot to post a review. It was a lot of fun. The kids loved all the trick or treating events. The haunted forest was excellent, however, my 8 year old girl was ready to get out of there (can be scary for the younger ones). Very nice park, we haven't tried it yet in the summer, but I am sure it is lovely. We also enjoy staying at there sister campground (Grey's Point). We highly recommend these campgrounds.

Park was very nice. The kids loved the splash pool and water slides. Nice Marina; we enjoyed our Jet Ski on the Rappahannock River. Golf carts galore, but that is expected when you have Seasonals. Our new favorite semi-local spot. We will return again. Oh by the way, trash was picked up 5 times a day or more, that was nice.

The staff was the most friendly we've encountered. Very helpful and observant. The park was very clean and well kept considering the traffic in this campground. Everyone was very polite, staff and other campers. Our kids had a great time and kept us too busy to call it a vacation. The flys/mosquitos were annoying but that is to no fault of the campground. Bugs are part of the experience.

A new favorite place to visit. We had a great time at this location. The owners were friendly and helpful. The grounds were very clean and kept. We stayed on Labor Day weekend and it was full, but very comfortable. Many children for ours to play with. The pool was very clean and cold. The country store stock was low. We are already planning our next trip there, and we just returned yesterday.

Brand new campground. Great little getaway. Within seconds of local grocery-hardware store. Cable hook-ups are in the power posts, though it appears that cable service is yet to be installed. Campground has +/- 25 sites folks who wish to set up as seasonal-year round rates. 15 +/- lake front sites for weekenders. Very peaceful place. New bath house, nice walking bridges, and a calm lake. Excellent sunsets and rises. Bad mosquitoes in the dusk-evening time of day, due to lake. It's nature, so deal with it. Very large sites with ample room. Mostly all back in, but with ample room that is provided it was gravy. No golf carts to bother you either. Near all the beach attractions, yet removed from all the hustle and bustle. We are returning in several weeks and this will be our summer get-away for years to come. Excellent place. Office located off site, so use the web-site.

Great place to go. We had a good time and will return again. Our site was fair. Poorly graded, and we flooded our "stoop" the first night. Stayed wet all week. We paid for a super site, but the big boys with the big motor coaches obviously got the pick of the spots. Ours was to be desired. Wi-Fi was super slow. Other than that, great time, great people. As clean as one could expect and very comfortable. We will return often.

The park was clean and quiet. It's our second visit, and again the people were most friendly and accomodating. We always enjoy sneaking off to this campground. Looing forward to the summer time activities and festivals.

Friendly staff, and a very clean park. Very empty in winter. Easy to navigate and a fair price. No complaints at all. We would return again.

We really enjoyed our first RV experience at this campsite. As soon as I pulled up, an employee ran into us and showed me exactly what to do. They were very friendly. Part of the grounds is occupied by seasonal (or permanent residents) but no matter to us. The facilities were very clean. The campground is known to get a bit rowdy (but it's always safe for everyone) and has an excellent authentic Italian restaurant. There is also a bar. There were no silly additional charges for our kids. The woman even took the kids names down, just in case something happened or they wandered off and got lost. That spoke volumes. We will definitely return many times in our RVing future. We could not experience the amenities such as the pool, as it is October and too cold. But we look forward to our future visits.

We met some exceptionally nice people while staying here. The seasonals and the permanent residents were a pleasure. It makes it difficult to criticize the campground. We stayed on lot 11, a very difficult lot to level on. After one night, I had to request some help from the other campers. Finally we got it. Make sure you check the dates on the food in the store. Some mac and cheese was dated for Feb 07. About 9 months expired. It was fairly quiet and everyone is respectful. The kids were not tormenting anyone while cruising the golf carts around. If you're use to RV resorts, this is not your place. If you are a back pack camper, you'll get along fine. But don't get a tent site near the lake. I could not see how anyone would camp in a marsh.

A nice place with ample space. Great pool, though someone left a floater on the day of our visit. Friendly people. Watch out for people traveling too fast down the roads. Other campers were not so considerate of kids on bikes. We visited Labor Day weekend 2006. We would return again.
